Christmas in South Bend

This year we headed to South Bend to spend Christmas with the Ruszkowski's. We had such a great time! We ate Sunny Italy food, we had a party on Christmas Eve, Father Dave said mass at maw maws house, we made snow angels, met Santa Claus, opened lots and lots of presents and rode on the sled.
Get ready for picture overload! And I am still missing a few I will add later haha.
Have you ever seen such a cute elf?!
Christmas Eve we spent with all of the Ruszkowski's and after we opened presents and had dinner Santa came! The kids loved it! Lilly decided she wanted to get close to him but still not close enough for him to touch her haha.

Biggie of course was a hit with all the ladies. As the night went on and he got more tired it just about took all 4 of us!! haha
Lilly of course wanted to wear the tutu that cousin Vivie gave her.
and the hat, gloves, and scarf that Grandma Rutz gave her..
then Pinckney decided to wear it haha
It is always fun to see what the Aunts and Uncles get every year. As you can see they think it is pretty funny as well!!
I have gotten a photo of the kids every year sleeping waiting for Santa...
When we woke up Christmas morning, SANTA HAD COME!!
MiMi and Lilly had several tea parties!
He even left some fun hats for us all to wear!
That afternoon there was alot of good snow on the ground so Lilly, Pinckney, Dzia Dzia and I took the sled for a ride and when we came back what is the best thing on cold days..hot chocolate!!
We were sad to have to leave, Maw Maw house was probably thankful after the tornado we brought with us haha. We are very blessed to have such a wonderful family.
MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

Happy 2nd Birthday baby girl!!

Lilly's second birthday started with her first Christmas dance recital. We had been looking forward to this day for awhile! That night Lilly said she wanted pizza for dinner, so we had cake and pizza that night. We had a great day!
I really can't believe how quickly the time is flying by, it seems like yesterday we were laying in the hospital and Lilly was just a few hours old. Now she is dancing, singing, and talking up a storm! She loves pizza, ice cream, cake, pasta really anything she is not a picky eater and she will try anything. She absolutely loves to dance!! Her favorite movie is beauty and the Beast and her favorite songs are Be our guest, and happy birthday to you.
She brings us so much joy everyday with her laugh, smile and yelling "i wove you" haha. She loves her little brother and whenever he is crying she either runs to me and says "biggie cry, biggie not happy" or she keeps saying biggie don't cry, don't cry. We learned at Christmas that she will stand up for him without thinking twice. And she believe that all wounds are healed with a kiss. We love you baby girl!!
Have you ever seen such a snappy outfit:).

We were all so proud to see Lilly preform!!
Once the music started the girls had a blast, as you can see in the photo Lilly didn't really move, at all! haha she stood there and would check everyone out but didn't move. haha She was so excited after is was all done so we know she had a great time!
Because the girls did so good, they all got candy canes!
Lilly wanted a Christmas tree cake this year. She loved her tree this year and would always say it was "pretty" so a tree cake it was!
Lilly's new favorite song is Happy Birthday to you. She sings it all the time and she usually says "happy birthday dear john" so when we were all singing for her she was all smiles.
Lilly loved eating the cake with her hands! It took her a minute to realize what she was doing but as soon as she got into it...
She was happy! haha
After we cleaned all the cake off the kids they decided it was time to go for a ride.

Almost there

Like I said before Lilly now loves the song Happy Birthday to you. Yesterday she was eating her lunch and I heard her singing, when I looked at her I realized she turned her pretzels into candles and her sandwhich into a cake and she was singing to herself! HA!
On Saturday Dzia Dzia came to celebrate the kids birthdays. He brought lots of good treats for the kids and we all enjoyed spending some time with him!
Notice in this photo the Handy Mandy tools in Lillys hand, MiMi and Dzia Dzia gave her these for her birthday and we had NO IDEA what a hit they would be! I kept thinking about how Bigs wasn't "into" anything he kind of likes everything and is not very picky. Well we found his love - these tools! Lilly opened them and every time he saw them he cried, it made him so upset that we had to go out the next day and get him a his own set of tools! And Lilly now sleeps with the tools everyday and night! Tonight she started to get in bed and ran out of the room and put the tool box right by her door so she would have it as soon as she woke up. ( she only sleeps with the tools and not the tool box).
