The Princess and her ponytail

The kids have now been sick for over 6 weeks! So what else is there to do when you can't really leave the house or play with the other kids? Dress up, paint our nails and play with our hair! I could not believe that Lilly's hair would go in a ponytail as well as it did. She is growing up so fast!!

Lilly has all kinds of funny saying now. When you ask her if she wants to do something instead of saying "yes" she says "you sure did" OR when I get her up from a nap she will pet my hair and say "ooooh pretty hair mom" "pretty new hair". She looked at John yesterday and said "come on sweetie" "you are a cuttttiiiiieeee pie." She calls John - Biggie Boy, Biggie John, Johnny boy, Sweetie pie, Bigs, Biggie, and every now and again he actually gets called John HA! She calls Yogurt "sugar." When she wakes up in the morning the first thing out of her mouth is "Daddy home?" And if I give her lots of kisses she giggles and says "those are Daddys kisses." She is a Daddy's girl!

When she is in the bathtub she will line up all the cups, fill them with water then pretend to paint my nails, then biggie pretends to paint my face. So by the end of bath time I look like I have been in the bath as well!

She wants cookies for every meal and pretends it is someone's birthday everyday.

To say she loves to dance is an understatement. This child asks for music from breakfast till bedtime. She will start a toy that plays music and he and biggie dance all over the room. They even try to get the dogs to dance!

She is growing so fast and now that she is talking life is crazy!

She even dressed bigs up in the Belle costume. Don't worry this came off very quickly! haha

Update

Well things have been a little crazy around here lately and we haven't spent much time on the computer - so I am trying to update the blog and catch up on emails over the next couple of days. The kids are just now getting better from having RSV- they were sick for a month and it was miserable for everyone!

Every morning I enjoy a cup of coffee while the kids have their breakfast. The other day I walked away from the table and when I returned Lilly was enjoying her morning cup of coffee as well! She used her princess tea set and filled the cup with my coffee!! I quickly explained that she has water when mommies have coffee hahah.

I think it time to get Biggie is own vehicle!

Snow and RSV

The weather this week has been crazy! We got about 8 inches of snow and it has been so cold all week! The week started with a trip to the doctor, the kids both have RSV so even though it would have been great days to play in the snow but because the kids had to stay inside and get well! The kids have done really well playing together and keeping each other busy even though they couldn't get out and play.

One of the funniest things in our house these days are Lilly's dance class - and I don't mean the one she goes to...

She plays the keyboard for the dogs and says "Now Siggy shake hands...now bounce on knees..." and when the music stops she says "OK SIGGY TRY AGAIN!" I feel like I am living in an aerobics studio somedays! haha

The kids found all kinds of things to do since they couldn't get outside. Lilly didn't want to take off her pj's. I would try and she would yell "NO - PJS!" so we all stayed in our PJs!

Biggie has figured out how to get himself onto the sofa and sit. And he is SO proud of himself every time he does it. I keep walking into the living room and he is just sitting there as if it is totally normal! haha

Since the kids couldn't play with us in the snow, we brought our dog children out in the snow and played while the kids slept.

Today the kids finally made a turn for the better and we had to get out of the house. We had great intentions to head out and after only going about 4 miles in 45 minutes and the blvd being a sheet of ice we made a turn into Walmart and bought games. Still not making it out of Maumelle! haha

Pinckney and I's first valentines day I made this heart cake, so like the last 9 valentines I made it again.

Flash Dance

Lilly was getting ready for dance on Monday and decided that she wanted to wear 2 bows - 1 ponytail :) I think she pulled it off. HA!

Spring in January?

This weekend we were blessed with sunny days in the 70s. It was perfect for the horse track on Saturday and playing outside with the kids on Sunday. We were able to paint, go for bike rides, play with the dogs and even open the sand box back up. Here are a few pics from the day.

30 and holding

This year was my 30th birthday, I was totally dreading turning 30 for some reason but it turned out to be a pretty great weekend. Lilly spent the day saying "HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOMMY" which is so sweet to hear and how can you hate a day when you hear that! Pinckney was on the road this week so I went out with the girls that night which was a lot of fun. The over the weekend he and I went to Hot Springs to the horse races and we had a blast! I didn't get as many photos as I would usually but here are a few from the weekend.

For some reason biggie hates to have his diaper changed, so Lilly has started the SWEETEST thing, if he starts screaming (which is almost every time) she climbs up on a chair kisses his forehead and says over and over "sissy here, sissy here" It is really so sweet!

We woke up to a great surprise!! Marianna put balloons on our mailbox and brought over a sonic drink and cookie cake for breakfast - i mean does it get much better?!

Then later that day, these arrived, I guess if he couldn't be here beautiful flowers will do:).

Such a Lady

For Lilly's birthday she received two beautiful purses:). She now doesn't go ANYWHERE without her purse! She always has it filled to top with anything she might need for the day.

I am not sure it I have mentioned what the kids do when the other is sleeping in their rooms. They wait...

When Bigs is taking his morning nap Lilly will either try to open the door and go in or she waits at the door and occasionally knocks. If Lilly is still sleeping as soon as he gets up, then he runs to her door and tries to get in.

Over Christmas Biggie got a new name - Bieber - as in Justin Beeber. We quickly realized that he is rockin the Bieber hair! You be the judge....

As for Lilly, she is really enjoying dressing like a princess.

She is loving dressing up so much that yesterday to Walmart she wore the tutu from her dance recital, the tutu skirt cousin Vivie gave her, her pjs, her new rain coat, and her black patent leather dress shoes. Like i said it just wasn't worth the fight of trying to change her clothes! haha
