personalities are here!

My kids have always had big personalities. John is very much a boy! He loves guns, balls, running, growling, and anything he can get dirty in. Although he hates bugs, actually he screams when he sees bugs. And he is quite the mama's boys. Which I am not going to complain about :).
Lilly has always had a flare for the dramatic, but lately it is like full on princess mode. She goes nowhere without her jewelry. And by jewelry I mean Mr. T style, pity the fool full on jewelry. She is singing and dancing more then ever. And the things she says will stop you in your tracks! Mi Mi and Dzia Dzia were babysitting last weekend while Pinckney and I went to float the Buffalo river. One afternoon MiMi accidentally got some water on Lilly's dress, Lilly was shocked and upset and screamed "MiMi you have RUINED ME!" then after having a fit she looked at Dzia Dzia and said "Dzia I am sorry I acted like a child." Yep that my princess!

 Playing sports even requires accessories!

Old friends cook out

We have been on the move for the past few weeks, so we are a bit behind on our blog posts. A couple of weekends ago our old friends Mandi and Justin came to visit. After 5 years of hoping and praying Mandi and Justin gave birth to twin baby boys. We were so happy to meet them!! Our cousins the Jones came over to cook out and celebrate with us.
The kids all sat down for a picnic with hot dogs, mac and cheese, capri suns and much more fun stuff!

The adults took turns passing these sweet baby boys around. Mandi is a happy mama!!

Princess Tea Party

On Saturday the boys went out and had a boys morning and the we stayed at the house and had a Princess tea party...

She wanted to make sure to wear all of her princesses while we were having our party...

Disney on Ice

Last Friday we surprised the kids with a night out. We took them to dinner at the Flying Fish, (Bigs is currently obsessed with fishing!) then we took them to Disney on Ice.
That afternoon I decided that the kids needed matching outfits, Lilly put the ears on herself, she had no idea we were going to see Minnie but she thought it just went with her outfit.

When we were at dinner we told them about our next stop...

She spent the rest of dinner planning who all she wanted to see....
And when we got there, they could not believe their eyes! When walking by a stand Lilly stopped and said "I want that" (talk about the snow cone below) and the guy said ok! and handed her one haha so Pick told Bigs to pick one out too, and then he had to buy the straw separate! haha But it was worth it!

Our seats were right on the ice. When the characters came out they could give the kids high five. They loved it!
You will notice this pose in a lot of Lilly's pictures, she calls it her pose. I don't have the heart to tell her it is awkward haha. And that is the smile you get when you tell her to smile that is usually the smile you get. I love it! haha

Then they discovered cotton candy. Bigs took one bite and with each bite he would say "I like it! I like it!"
It came with a hat...

When the show started the kids started yelling "It's Mickey it's Minnie..."etc then Lilly wanted in introduce them to Bigs..."Minnie this is my brother Bigs!" haha

As you can see by their faces, the night was one that they will not forget anytime soon. When we got up to leave Lilly immediately started crying. She was sad that all the princesses came out on the ice, I guess she thought they were there but not on the ice since she had been to see Princesses on Ice before. Then she cried because she wanted to see more, then she cried because she didn't want to leave the building, then when we got out of the building it was just crying with the word princesses mixed in. All we could do is laugh, until over 30 minutes passed and she was still crying!! It lasted about until we got home!

Car Wash

The weather has been so warm lately we have been able to get outside and play in the water. And since we have the water going we have put the kids to use washing cars. haha
