Easter Rainbow Cake

Lilly and I made our first rainbow cake this week. I am not sure who thinks it is cooler, me or Lilly! haha

This is our newest challenge with Lilly's outfits...she would rather just wear panties. Pinckney took her to Chick-Fil-A for lunch and let her on the playground on afternoon, Lilly was playing with another little boy there when Pinckney heard her say "You know what, I have princess panties on want to see?!" I would like to also point out that she let me put her hair in Pig tails just so she could "cook." As soon as the cake went in the oven she insisted on taking her hair down. One day I will have her hair up again and large bows for every outfit! haha
If you haven't made one of these before, I highly suggest doing it! When the cake bakes the colors get even more vibrant! So it is even fun to eat haha.
our poor cake was a bunny and easter eggs, it didn't even last long enough to put icing on it! The kids didn't care, it tasted just as good without it haha.

Happy St. Patty's Day!!

We had a great weekend playing outside and grilling out with friends! The kids spent most of friday afternoon playing on the trampoline...
I had a window pane that we aren't doing anything with so the kids used it for some finger painting :)
Friday night Pick joined them on the Trampoline and took them for a ride before dinner.
For dessert Pick had stopped and gotten a few cupcakes, you can see from these faces they were a huge it!
Lilly was sad when her's was gone...
Then on Saturday we had some friends over and Bigs put on his "formal wear."

M&Ms

There is one more thing I will share and I promise I am done with the random Valentine's pictures. When the kids were born I had "party favors" for all the nurses and anyone that came to visit us. They were a box of M&M's with a note and holiday ribbon. I have saved a couple boxes from each birth and just took the M&Ms out of the box. MiMi and Dzia Dzia gave the kids the coolest M&Ms that I can't save, one because we love to eat them, and two in 10 years who knows what these will look like:). So I took a picture to share, they say "MiMi love you," "Dzia Dzia love you," and "Happy Valentines."
I have been a huge slacker on the baby books and I keep telling myself this blog will fill in for where I missed in the books, so I thought this was the perfect place to put the picture.

Bye Bye Helmet Head

Like I said before this week I took Bigs to get his hair cut. And he looked so darn cute I had to share. Don't you just want to kiss this face!!

We were sitting waiting for our turn when the girl who usually cuts our hair came up after she saw our name on the list and said that she didn't even recognize him. HA!
Here is the end result :)
And I found this picture from Valentines day and it really made me laugh so I had to share. I was getting pictures of the kids putting make-up on MiMi and to my surprise I got this...

Wye Mountain

Every year there is a Daffodil festival at Wye Mountain. There are tons of daffodils in this feild and lots of people will go there for Easter Pictures, spring pictures, picnics or just to let the kids see it. I don't have the kids Easter outfits yet so they wore these cute outfits they got for Christmas.

We tried really hard to get a picture of the kids and I where we were all happy and all looking at the camera. I think this picture sums up my frustration because the kids did not really care what picture I wanted :).
This picture made me realize that Bigs's hair had turned into a helmet! After breakfast the next day we headed to pigtails and crewcuts for a haircut :).
We went with our friends Marianna, Maggie and Hayden. Bigs was not really in the mood to have his picture taken but he loved being with all his girls :).
Marianna called these pictures the head lock series...
Lilly didn't mind having her picture taken as long as it did not interupt her dancing.
Here are just a few of my favorites from the day...
