Sunshine Days

Since the kids are so close in age they learn a lot of thing at the same time. Right now they can both sing their ABC's, spell their name, sing you are my sunshine and if you give one of them a treat they insist on getting one for the other.
Being the big sister Lilly keeps an eye on him and sing song to Bigs like Amazing Grace (although the first time I sang that to her she stopped me and said "no no no Grace is my cousin") or Baby Mine.
Here are just some extras of the kids enjoying the beautiful weather!

Mr Big Stuff

My biggie boy is talking more then ever! It is amazing to have both kids walking, running, talking, eating on their own and of course strong enough to wrestle each other haha. When Lilly was first learning to talk we would ask her "whats your name" and she would respond "you." Since we call him Bigs and his name is John we have been a little worried about what he say when we asked him what his name is. Poor child, when you ask him his first response is "me" then "John" and every now and again he says "Biggie."
Some fun facts about John: He will only eat with his hands, he can use a fork or spoon but prefers his hands. He loves milk, he is the best snuggler around! He will do whatever Lilly tells him to. His favorite activity is running haha He loves to play with soccer balls, or the basketball hoop in his room. He will tell his to "shake your booootttyy." He is great at talking on the phone. And he thinks he is a lion, everywhere we go he growls at people. His favorite song to sing is a church song "Saw Saw Saw..." with the hand motions. :)

Hey Little Lilly

It is getting more and more apparent that our babies aren't babies anymore. They are getting more and more independent. The weather has been amazing lately and we have been able to spend a lot of time outside, which has been wonderful for all of us! Lilly surprised us all the other day when she got on her bike, had pick help her up the driveway and back, then she took off on her own!
Some fun facts about Lilly: She makes up songs about everything! Right now she has songs about "Rock and Roll," Capri Sun, Tangled's hair, and my personal favorite TJ MAXX. She loves to dress up in princess outfits, her dream day is a princess make over (they showed one on the Disney channel now she is always talking about it!) She loves to paint her nails, she still wont go anywhere with out Piggy. She insists on wearing skirts with everything and will dance all day long! And her sense of style is one of a kind, she will lay clothes out for Bigs, me and herself. She picks out the outfit then lays it on the floor the way we should wear it.

Weekend Fun

Here are just a few pics from the weekend that make me laugh..
The kids played with playdough and made their own crowns one morning. haha

Valentine's Week

This year Pinckney was out of town for work the week for Valentines week, so MiMi came to stay with us! We had a very full week!! We spent the week shopping, eating, putting make up on each other and did I mention shopping? :)
The highlight of the week for Lilly was the rose Mi Mi brought from Dzia Dzia!
When we went to TJ Maxx Mi Mi got Lilly a princess make up kit that she picked out. That kit has kept her busy everyday!!
Along with makeup kit she also got a puppy purse, which she named Bella and takes for walks.
After dinner one night the kids decided MiMi needed a little make up...
And I guess so did they...
When Pick got home the weather had cooled off a little so we were able to have a fire, and I think Sweet Pea enjoyed this as much as we did!
This made me laugh, I am not sure if you can see this but Lilly now puts diaper on Piggy. haha
The main things we were looking for were missing pieces for the house. Here are a couple of updates we did :).

Nothing Sweeter

There is nothing sweeter then when the kids get along. Last night at dinner Lilly looked at Bigs and said "Bigs I just love you." I know I have said it before but they will not go to bed at night without giving each other a hug and a kiss and telling each other "night night." Yesterday I told the kids to head to their rooms for nap time and I would be in there in a minute. It got quite quickly so I knew something had to be up, when I got to Lilly's door I heard nothing but giggles. I guess they thought they might get away with this. haha The rest of the nap time I spent keeping Lilly from sneaking into Biggies room so she could sleep on the floor. I finally gave up and put her in the playroom to lay down haha.

It will grow....hopefully soon.

On Sunday Lilly came running into the kitchen, where Pinckney and I were making breakfast, because she had hair in her mouth. Not really looking at the whole situation I tried to just get the hair out of her mouth when I reached to brush the rest of the hair out of her face and realized she had clumps of hair all over her, it was falling out and she was covered in it. I kept asking where it was coming from I couldn't figure out what was going on! Pinckney took one look and said "Lilly did you cut your hair?!" She kept saying no ( which was clearly a lie!) We looked toward out bedroom and there was hair all the way to the kitchen, we went into the bathroom and found scissors and hair everywhere.
We kept looking at her hair and quickly realized that she had cut herself a mullet.
On one side she really doesn't have much hair left. I could cry everytime I look at her. I try to pull it up but it just falls out because there's not much hair to hold it.
As you can see she was pretty proud of herself!
It is ok if I can get it to stay up. But when it is down it is a little ruff. On the left size she cut almost to the scalp in some areas. :( The other side it looks like she was just trying to give herself a couple of layers. haha.
If you look in this photo you can see on the left side the hair goes straight back.
Pinckney told Amy that Lilly was just trying to recreate her wings from her eighties hair. She does love her godmother! haha

A few from the Birthday Weekend

We picked up some cupcakes from Cupcakes on Kavanaugh last Thursday. We made a scratch pizza and had cupcakes and candles. It was a perfect way to start my birthday weekend!

Lilly has kept us laughing lately with all the things she says. She is constantly amazing me by some of the things she says. Last week before my birthday Pinckney and Lilly were talking, Pinckney asked Lilly what she would like to get me for my birthday. Her response: "Let's get Mommy a new car!" This kept on for a couple of days and when Pick would try to explain to her that he was not going to get Mommy a new car she would have a fit and say "we have to, Biggie got a new car from Ho Ho, and I want a purple one with Princesses on it next week." With all of her efforts neither of us got a new car. ;)

Lilly has her dance class on Monday nights, while she is in class Bigs and I wait in the lobby with some of our friends. Last week we got to dance a little early so the three of us took a seat in the lobby area and when it was time for her to go into class she turned to me and said "now I am going to go dance and when I do you and biggie have to stay here and relax. Just relax." And off she went. HA!

Gran came to keep the kids so Pick and I could go see Pat Green and spend the night downtown for my birthday. While we were gone she kept telling Gran "Daddy took mommy out for a happy birthday."

I have started keeping the 4 year old room at church on Mondays during Mother Day out. I always wonder how the kids behave when I am not around. People tell me they are good but I sometime wonder if they are just saying that to be polite. On Monday Lilly's teacher stopped by our room to say hello and I asked if Lilly was behaving. Her response was "Well THAT'S a stupid question." I was a bit taken back so I asked "what?" she said again "that's a stupid question, Lilly is always good, she always does what we say and she gets along with others and naps." So it then made me think, well then why does she challenge me so much?!
Duck season ended this past weekend. Pinckney had some great luck this year and great weather! It makes me laugh how much Bigs loves everything outdoors. He talks about deer and duck, he loves duck calls, and playing with the dogs. January is the month that Pick hunts the most, so naturally the kids get a bit confused as to where daddy is when the season is over. Monday morning Bigs asked "where's daddy" I said "Daddy's working" he then was convinced I was wrong and said "NO Hunting" I tried to explain that he does still work, but Biggie wasn't buying it! haha
